EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO PROJECTS

One of the goals of Instigator Films is to push the boundaries of experimental video using
the latest technologies to create compelling audiovisual experiences. Filmmaker Brian Lally
works on experimental video art projects and has been funded by the Arts Council of Ireland for this work.

A moment from the experimental film "Aftermath

In 2005, Instigator Films produced the short film "Aftermath". This is an experimental film shot in the style of a silent film and set to the music of the Irish composer Roger Doyle. The story centres on a disturbed young woman who finds refuge in a ruined church. She recounts a series of surreal dreams which culminate in a nightmarish and shocking reality.

This film has screened in festivals around the world including the Boston Underground Film Festival (March 2006) and the Britspotting Festival in Berlin, Stuttgart and Zurich (April 2006).

"Aftermath" is currently available to watch on our YouTube  channel and on Ifilm
